Syracuse Track Club Awards Scholarships
July 6, 2016 - The Syracuse Track Club recently announced its nineteenth annual Constantino Scholarship winners. Matthew Young of East Syracuse-Minoa High School and Mya Walters of Cazenovia High School were awarded scholarships of $1,000 each. Runner-up awards of $500 went to Garnet Remillard of Westhill High School and Sage Hurta of Hamilton High School. The scholarships are given to high school senior runners by the Syracuse Track Club in honor of George Constantino, the late Nottingham track coach and a founder of the club.
July 4, 2016 - The next session of track workouts with Coach Jerry Smith will start Tuesday July 5th, for 9 weeks (through August 30.) Each session begins @ 6:00pm on the SU track @ Skytop. Cost is $10.00 per week, $60.00 for the complete set.
16th Annual Wilber-Duck Mile
May 20, 2016 - It was another beautiful Friday evening in Oneida ("It's always a great day at Wilber-Duck Chevrolet!") for the 17th running of the Wilber-Duck Mile. William Hoyne repeated as winner of the men's race in 4:41. Newcomer Lizzy Lucason topped the women's field in 5:20. Complete results. Oneida Dispatch story.
